Accessibility Statement

Pampa Teachers Federal Credit Union is committed to providing a website that is accessible to all our Members. If you have difficulty using or accessing any element of this website, please feel free to call us at (806) 665-0057 or email us at memberservices@ptfcu-tx.com. We will work with you to provide the information or item(s) you seek through a communication method that is accessible for you (example – communication through telephone support).

We are making best efforts to implement the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). There is no definitive test or certification of conformance to Level AA of the WCAG, but we use a variety of methods for assessing accessibility. If you find a part of the site that you feel does not conform to Level AA of the WCAG, please contact us by email at memberservices@ptfcu-tx.com so we can evaluate the issue.

Pampa Teachers Federal Credit Union strives to make every page accessible to all users and is continuously working on accessibility improvements; however, some pages may have partial conformance due to the use of 3rd party vendors. As such Pampa Teachers Federal Credit Union does not claim full site-wide conformance, instead a partial conformance, as defined by WCAG Level AA 2.0. Pampa Teachers Federal Credit Union cannot ensure conformance of crucial third-party plug-ins and widgets and we acknowledge there may be difficulties with portions of the site.

Pampa Teachers Federal Credit Union uses automated testing as a baseline for conformance but understands W3C’s position that “there is as yet no tool that can perform a completely automatic assessment on the checkpoints in the guidelines, and fully automatic testing may remain difficult or impossible”.

We recommend using the most current versions of the computer-based assistive technology applications and browsers. There are easy-to-use controls for adjusting the size and colors of content on a web page. There are no ideal content size or color combinations for all users. By using the controls provided by your browser, you can personalize the content presentation to suit your needs. Keeping your browsers up-to-date will ensure that you have the most options for accessibility. Newer browsers tend to provide more display options to make content accessible, and may work better with assistive technologies.

Pampa Teachers Federal Credit Union provides many of our documents as PDF (Portable Document Format) files. Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® DC is free software you can use to read and access the information contained within PDF files. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC contains many capabilities specifically designed to make it easier for people with disabilities to read PDF files, regardless of whether the files have been optimized for accessibility. It leverages accessibility functions built into Windows® and Mac OS systems and allows adjustment of user preferences to optimize the reading experience for a variety of disabilities.

What Is An Equal Housing Lender?

As an Equal Housing Lender, Certified Federal Credit Union does business in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Law and Equal Credit Opportunity Act. Under this Act, financial institutions are prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, handicap or familial status. Under the Federal Fair Housing Act, it is illegal to:
  • Deny a loan for the purpose of purchasing, constructing, improving, repairing or maintaining a dwelling, or deny any loan secured by a dwelling; or
  • Discriminate in fixing the amount, interest rate, duration, application procedures or other terms or conditions of such a loan, or in appraising property
on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, handicap or familial status.

Your funds are safe at your federally insured credit union.

All credit unions provide insurance to their members from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA ), an independent agency of the federal government. This means that your money deposited in a federally insured credit union is insured up to $250,000, similar to the insurance provided by the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) to banks.

The shares in your credit union are insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), which is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government. Established by Congress in 1970 to insure member share accounts at federally insured credit unions, the NCUSIF is managed by NCUA.
